| Exercising The Relief Valve There are several ways you can exercise the relief valve on 2521 and 2531. First, you would set the relief valve to what ever pressure you would like, lets say 120 psi. The first way to test the valve would be to simply throttle up past the set pressure of 120 psi. and wait for the valve to confirm its opened. The next way to do it would be to have the tank fill valve open, which should be open when you are setting the relief valve, and close it quickly. The relief valve should open and close as you open and close the tank fill. Rotating the pilot valve clockwise and counterclockwise as the valve opens is the third way. And the final way to do it, and only 2521 or with any Waterous relief valve, you can use the "on-off" switch back and forth to exercise the valve. |
